Last year, I completed a 14 day prayer challenge that has turned into an (almost) daily thing. There are three things I want to share with everyone. It’s a very effective way to improve your life, 10 minutes a day.
Talking to God through prayer and meditation has many benefits. As a leader, it’s paramount to our success that we remain vigilant in this effort. When we falter in our daily communication with Him, we lose focus. God gives us the proper way to pray in Matthew 6: 9-13. The Lord’s Prayer is the perfect outline. Here are three things about prayer that will lead to the proper utilization of this divine interaction.
My prayer life is becoming the most important part of my life. It’s a direct line of contact between myself and the creator of the universe. He loves me. I cannot do anything worthwhile without God and I can do anything with God. No weapons formed against me shall prosper and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This post speaks to the importance of my prayer life.
So, technically I passed my challenge. Pray for ten minutes at the beginning of the day and see what happens. I wrote a post afterwards, which you can read on my website. Quick summary of the post, God answered my prayer right away and told me to make sure to mind my behavior today because I haven’t had much sleep. I decided to stay quiet and just get through the day. I could do that! I was so proud of myself. I figured, today is gonna be easy! Little did I know, that was only the beginning.
As I have been on this blogging journey, I have been maturing in my walk with God. I believe He has been leading me to change the blog in order to address a wider audience on a more spiritual level. I have been praying about this and am finally ready.
Check out the new “About the blog” and the “Boss Philosophy” pages for more info.
Please pray that the Spirit continues to guide me.
Thanks for your support!
My prayers have been answered lately and for that I am grateful. I say lately, because I recently have been making an effort to be very specific and consistent. Continue reading to see the effect it has on my life.
