Ever lie on your blog?

IMG_0508I just had a funny thing happen to me last night.  I typed a lie because it sounded more sexy than the truth.  Before I even completed the sentence, I said to myself, “c’mon, get honest”.   Truth is, I want to “keep it real and be totally honest”, but there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to show weakness.  I gotta get over that quick.

So I fessed up and told the truth.

My final thought, if your not being totally honest, your lying.  If you’re going to lie on your blog when you say you’re being honest, what’s the point?

 

A month after my emergency room visit and I feel great.

IMG_0489I have to be honest.  I have been living very well lately.  Very clean.  It’s almost scary what can happen when you decide to stop destructive behavior and focus on positivity and health.  It doesn’t take that long and it’s pretty simple.  Here’s what that looks like for me.  (No, I’m not the guy in the picture, but I feel how he looks)

New Year’s Resolutions or New Year’s Reflections?

img_0286As we prepare for 2017 to roll in, I wanted to take a look at the concept of resolutions. There are folks that make them every year, swearing that “this is the year I’ll do blah blah blah”. Some keep the resolutions, while most fail to do so.

Others don’t waste their time. The thought being that they will break the resolution or that making a promise to do something worthwhile, like eating healthy and exercise, should be lifestyle changes totally detached from a “time of year”. They don’t want to make empty promises to themselves.

Who do you blame when stuff goes wrong? Put away the “blamethrower”

When you blame others for your problems, you give away the ability to fix those issues. You place the “power” over the situation in something or someone external to yourself. How much luck do you think you will have changing others, so that your situation improves? Learn to identify the root cause of the issue, WITHIN YOU. Most times, it lies within fear, anger or resentment. Clearly identifying the cause gives clarity to the solution.
