I went vegan! (sort of)

IMG_0556I have been doing some research on the benefits of going vegan.  I have to be honest, it’s not about the animals or the environment, it’s all about my health.  So now, I’m trying it.  I’d love to do this until Thanksgiving, but I decided to do a two week test and see how I feel.  So far, I have had some shocking results. How I feel after 17 lbs. of weight loss. Reinventing myself.

IMG_0500I am still here.  I just finished a summer vacation, followed by some “catch up” time at work.  I have also been staying healthy.  Working out and eating properly.  I’m currently down about 17 lbs.  I want to focus on how I “feel” today.

A month after my emergency room visit and I feel great.

IMG_0489I have to be honest.  I have been living very well lately.  Very clean.  It’s almost scary what can happen when you decide to stop destructive behavior and focus on positivity and health.  It doesn’t take that long and it’s pretty simple.  Here’s what that looks like for me.  (No, I’m not the guy in the picture, but I feel how he looks)

Stress leads to personal inventory and change.

IMG_0491Funny how life throws you curve balls.  Little unexpected events that make you re-think everything.  If you follow this blog, you probably noticed that I haven’t been posting as much content lately.  The reason is simple.  I’ve been busy doing a personal inventory, as a result of my hospital stay.  It has led me to some startling revelations.

I haven’t been writing because I was in the hospital.

IMG_0478So, I have had a crazy past two weeks, which has led to me not writing any original content.  Long story short, I went to the emergency room with an irregular heartbeat.  They ultimately couldn’t do anything for me.  They recommended “shocking” my heart back into rhythm with a defibrillator, you know, the electric shockers they use on people that have just died.  I’ll try my best to tell the story.   Continue reading “I haven’t been writing because I was in the hospital.”
