Don’t apologize for doing you.

IMG_0413So, I took a break from blogging for a bit.  No reason.  Just took a break.  At first I felt a little guilty, like the people following me would be angry or unfollow me because I wasn’t writing every few days.  Like it’s all about me.  I was trying to figure out how to apologize, then I realized something…

My blog features bible verses and could easily be mistaken as a Christian website.  I’m not intentionally trying to make this a Christian website, that’s just who I am.  Sort of like how Lecrae says he isn’t a Christian rapper, he’s just a rapper who is Christian.  I’m a blogger who’s Christian.  So because of that, I felt guilty because it was Easter (Christian SuperBowl) and I didn’t write anything during the entire Holy Week, praising God for His sacrifice.

This guilt had me trying to figure out how to apologize to you all when it hit me.  I don’t have to apologize for taking a break.  It’s ok to do that.  I was tired of writing.

You know what else I figured out.  It’s ok.

It’s pretty liberating to be free enough to do what you want without apologies or worrying about what others think.  I guess that’s my article for all of the bosses in the middle.

If you’re tired, rest.  Know your limits.

Within God’s will, do you.

  1. Haha, I have never read your blog before, but I just called Easter the “Christian Superbowl..lol.. Good post! I will be following. I agree about being a blogger who is Christian. Hopefully the authenticity of people like us, will bring light and a different perspective on Christians who are real.
