I genuinely want to help others and this platform seems like a good choice. As I spend time writing posts and reading your blogs, I realize I am only one of many bloggers. Then I realize that wordpress is only one of many platforms for bloggers. With so many choices, can I ever make a dent in this world? How can I compete? The answer shocked me.
This isn’t a competition, it’s a community.
I would like to say thank you, to every person who spends time reading the blog, liking or commenting on the articles. You are helping me learn so much, as I navigate this landscape in search of “my voice”. I’m still very new, so whenever someone new follows me in wordpress or twitter, subscribes to the blog, or likes the facebook page, I get excited. I believe I have healthy perspectives and it’s nice that others are interested.
It’s cool when people read and support your blog. You give me confidence as a person in general, but also as a writer. I feel like I am getting better, but there’s a lot of room for growth. This all makes me believe two things;
1. I have the ability to relate to others in a real way through writing. I should continue writing, as I believe this ability will only get better with practice. Gifts from God are like seeds. You need to take care of them, so they can grow strong.
2. Gaining followers takes time and honest relationship building. I must continue, spending time on other people’s blogs and continue learning.
These things are important because they line up with why I started blogging.
1. I wanted to help people with my experience. Even if I can help one person a day, it’s worth it. I also want to learn from others, because I obviously don’t know everything.
2. I would like to leave something for my children to understand my thoughts, ideas and experiences. They are very young now and don’t quite get it yet.
These reasons are enough to drive me for a long time. Quality and relevance are top priorities, as I basically strive to stay current and utilize my experience.
So again thank you! The best part of this so far has been discovering all of you. You provide clarity to my purpose, as it relates to this venture. The more I read your blogs, the more I learn. This is much bigger than me and I’m honored to be a part of it!
Look for more from bossinthemiddle.com in the near future. I will be making small changes to the website to enhance the experience. You will see me pop in on your blogs too, commenting and liking. I want to thank you all for blogging and being successful as well. Paving the way for us newbies and supporting us.
